Doom – the book
Just finished reading. Well, I kind of feel sorry for author, because writing a book on a first person shooter WITHOUT any kind of plot (such as Doom, Doom 2, etc.) is very tricky. Basically, author did no better then creators of the game. Game lacks plot, book lacks plot. Game lacks thoughts, book lacks thoughts. The only positive emotion I’ve got from the book is a sting of nostalgia when I could spend hours playing Doom and Doom II , imagining what kind of plot could be there. When I was reading the book – I’ve got same kind of nostalgia – wanting to play the game again and imagine what kind of plot could there be.
